While of course we always advocate for adopting responsibly, if you're already in the market to adopt a new animal, we hope you consider the senior dogs and cats who need a loving home, too. Senior pets are often, and unfortunately, forgotten and will usually stay in a shelter longer than their younger counterparts. While you should of course consider the care they need, such as any medication, type of exercise, diet and other senior pet care, they will love their owners deeply and have so much loyalty and appreciation for being rescued.
